St. Vincent de Paul

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a faith based nonprofit organization working with persons who are the most vulnerable in our community. Guided by faith and inspired by the Gospels call to put the needs of the most vulnerable first. This organization recognizes that the God-given dignity of each person is essential in building relationships of mutual respect and they strive to create a community of compassion and service. St. Vincent de Paul has been helping the Cedar Rapids metro area since the 1950’s by providing food boxes, clothing, housewares, furniture and, if needed, assistance towards utility bills or rent. Proceeds from the Thrift Store supports the assistance programs.
